Yalova Thermal Hot Springs<\/strong>, which has brought the concept of Thermal Holiday to our country and has the only gold medal in Turkey, has been operating for more than 4000 years and has been healing people. Yalova’s Termal<\/strong> district, which was honored by the Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atat\u00fcrk with the words: “This will be the water city of the future”, has become a leading location in nature, health and thermal tourism where the leading companies of the country such as Limak<\/strong> have invested.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

It is located right in the middle of Thermal Yalova<\/strong> and is famous for its healing hot springs.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The district was established in the Samanl\u0131 Valley. Its lands are irrigated by the Ferhat Stream and small streams in the Samanl\u0131 Valley. It has a climate that shows a transition between the Black Sea climate and the continental climate. Its soil is a natural wonder where rare plant species grow together.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Since Roman and Byzantine times, the hot springs on the slope of the Samanl\u0131 Mountains have been utilized. Due to the steam coming out of the hot springs between G\u00f6k\u00e7edere and \u00dcvezp\u0131nar Villages, it was believed that the underground god lived here and the region was named Pythia Therma.<\/p>\r\n

The hot springs, which did not attract attention for a long time during the Ottoman period, attracted attention again when Sultan Abd\u00fclmecit’s mother Bezm-i Alem Valide Sultan’s rheumatic pains were cured. Abd\u00fclmecit had the old baths renovated and new mansions and facilities built, and foreign investors became partners in the facilities and operated them. By the end of the century it had become a very popular tourist and health center. However, when foreign partners fled the country due to the wars that broke out one after another, the hot springs, which were left to their own devices and forgotten, attracted attention again after Atat\u00fcrk’s visit in 1929.<\/p>\r\n

A mansion was built by Atat\u00fcrk, who wanted to make Yalova the water city of the future, and this mansion, which is now a museum, was used as the summer workplace of the government in the early years of the republic. Today, Yalova Thermal Facilities <\/strong>, which include these baths, hotels and a museum, are operated by the Ministry of Health. Likewise, in 2010, Limak Holding has inaugurated the best thermal and boutique facility of Turkey in the Thermal district of Yalova under the name Limak Thermal Boutique Hotel and it has been operated by Limak Holding for 10 years.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

What is the story of Yalova Thermal Springs?<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

It is known that the thermal springs in Termal district emerged after an earthquake in 2000 BC. After this period, Termal district, which has always been the center of attention, became much more famous especially during the Roman period. According to the information in different sources, the hot water and steam coming out of the underground led the people of that period to believe that an underground god lived here. After the Romans, the first bathhouse was built in this period in Termal district, which came under Byzantine rule.<\/p>\r\n

Yalova, which you can reach in 30-45 minutes by sea from Istanbul, takes 1 hour by road to Bursa and Izmit. Located 12 km from the center of Yalova, Termal can be easily reached by minibuses or taxis departing from Yalova pier.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
